The Bridle Path Equestrian Centre has been operating since 1998 in Clavering Ontario.
Former student and current owner, Emma McLaren, has been riding at the Bridle Path since 2001. As the only person in her family interested in horses it was not easy to break into the horse world, but the Bridle Path provided a place for her to do so.
After gaining her Bachelor's in Biology at Wilfred Laurier University, Emma realized that her knowledge and passion for horses was going to determine her career choice. With that, she attended the University of Guelph for Equine Management and returned home just in time for Bridle Path former owner to retire.
Based on her own experiences, Emma recognizes that starting something new and exciting like horseback riding can often be scary and intimidating. Horses are very unique. Even if you grew up and live among horses you are constantly presented with new learning opportunities.
The Bridle Path goes beyond just riding horses in efforts to provide continuous equine education-based programs providing full interactive answers to questions like:
"Don't you just sit there and the horse does all the work?"
"What is a Briddle?", and
"Why is my horse a weirdo?"
THE SIMPLE ANSWER:
"Riding takes muscles you never even knew you had"
"It is pronounced Bridal but spelt B-R-I-D-L-E"
"Horses, man.... Horses... *shakes head in defeated acceptance that horses are majestic dorks that can hold the power of an army in their bodies but also should be coated in bubble wrap*"
(Real answers to the above questions and many more can be found at our Bridle Path Location)
